Great Taming大畜

Mountain holding heaven — momentum deep and thick.

Great reserve, awaiting the hourGreat Taming

The ability to stop is itself a strength.

Da Chu's greatness is not splendor but capacity. A mountain bearing heaven — it looks about to collapse, yet the qian below has a hardy base and holds. True accumulation is restraint from release: to have strength in hand and not spend it is what makes the right act possible. Those in a hurry for results most easily exhaust themselves just before the best moment.

The most interesting line: the wooden yoke for the young ox — fit the headboard before the horns harden, not after it has gored someone. Cultivation works before the force takes shape. Restraint one step early spares ten conflicts later.

Practice List three things you want to do but have not. Pick one and deliberately leave it alone; see what it becomes in a week.
In the four domains

01Career & decisions

Your power needs a reservoir. Gather the team's strength behind one great work; study deeply, store daily, and let the dam fill before you generate.

02Love & bonds

Give the relationship structure: shared projects, long horizons, real commitments. Great power in love is patient infrastructure.

03Wealth & resources

This is an accumulation chart. Lock wealth into long positions — skill, assets, compounding vehicles — and let restraint do the earning.

04Body & mind

Train capacity you will need in five years. Daily practice banked now is the reserve the mountain holds against drought.

Timing & action

Store, then serve. Spend this season building reserves — knowledge, capital, character — and take up the great work when the reservoir is full.
